Argentina Tango is an improvised dance.
We never learned about “embrace” in our Aisan culture, lacking of physical convertation and communication. Through sincerely dancing in tango, people can experience the joy of concentration and silence. Finding each other through embrace, finding yourself in tango and blissful moments together.
Taichung Tango Academy aims to promote Argentina Tango culture.
Our design of curriculum focuses on direct communication with students and teaching in accordance with their aptitude. Guiding everyone to understand various details of body linkage, overcome learning difficulties, and create an free space for dialogues.
We believe:
Tango is feeling and sensation.
Tango emphasizes the physical perception of people themself. It is hoped that during the dance, students will listen to music and experience their own physical and inner emotional feeling.
Tango is life.
Tango is just like a part of our dailylife. It is a very intimate dance which requires constructing human relationships. Learn the details of life, ways of interacting, including dance etiquette, cultivating respect for people and yourself from dancing.
Tango is the moment.
Tango is a dance that emphasizes improvisation, focusing on the current state of dancing. Dancers are aware of themselves and focus on each other and the music, cherishing the feeling and brief moments of dancing with each other.

JOE WU
Master in Architecture at TU Delft, The Netherlands and architect, Passionate for design, art and dance, with different living experiences in Europe and Asia, he draws inspirations from different cultures and integrates into dance and teaching. Over the years, he has continued to learn Tango from Argentina masters, participated tango performances and competitions, studied tango teaching and curriculum design, becoming an all-round tango dancer.
REBECCA HSUEH
Master of Education at Taichung University of Education. Passionate for art,travel and exploring the world. Except learning dancing from different Argentina masters, she also researching tango music and DJ methods. Being to Argentina for short-term studies and became a music DJ in Taiwan. Aiming in inherit the classic spirit about Argentina Tango. Become a dancer and teacher who can inspiring people in the world.
